Individual Counselling (with Kay)

What kind of problems do people come with?

Over the years we have worked with many people and different issues but, generally speaking, the following list gives some idea of the most common counselling issues:

  • anxiety
  • stress
  • Moderate Obsessions or Compulsions
  • phobias
  • depression
  • relationship difficulties
  • bereavement
  • life issues of loss & grief
  • lack of confidence
  • loss of personal direction
  • low self-esteem

How might counselling help me?

During Kay's years of counselling she has seen the value people place on having an opportunity to talk openly and frankly about  difficulties. This may be the first time that you have been able to ‘say it like it is’ without being judged negatively or told what to do.

Kay offers a listening ear, will ‘hold’ your pain and will encourage personal insights, build your confidence and help you achieve a positive sense of self. She may offer suggestions and relevant techniques to encourage a positive resolution to present difficulties.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies according to need. There is no set number of sessions but Kay will work flexibly to provide the best service she can.

How much will it cost me?

£30 per session: A reduced rate is possible in some circumstances on agreement with Kay. A session lasts 1 hour.
